From polymer
to possibility.
PLASMACO Ltd is one of Rwanda's leading manufacturers and suppliers of plastic pipe reticulation systems, meeting the needs of the construction, civil, agricultural, industrial and petrochemical sectors, primarily in Rwanda, with supply into the wider East Africa region. Registered in 2022 and based at the PEZ industrial site in Gasabo, City of Kigali, PLASMACO operates a four-line HDPE pipe extrusion facility.
Every pipe begins as 100% virgin PE100 resin and is transformed, through controlled extrusion, vacuum sizing, cooling and quality verification, into pressure pipe manufactured in conformity with ISO 4427‑2:2019, the standard against which PLASMACO's PN10, PN16, PN20 and PN25 HDPE pipes are certified by the Rwanda Standards Board. In keeping with international trends, PLASMACO is also a market leader in converting to lead-free materials.
Our Process.
From raw PE100 resin to a certified, pressure-rated pipe: PLASMACO's extrusion line runs six controlled stages, material preparation, melting and extrusion, sizing and cooling, quality testing, cutting and finishing, then packaging and dispatch. Step through the interactive model below, or drag to look around the line yourself.
Raw Material Preparation
Virgin PE100 resin is inspected and staged for feed, with no reprocessed material entering the line.
Melting & Extrusion
Resin is melted through temperature-zoned barrels and formed continuously through the die.
Sizing & Cooling
Vacuum sizing and water cooling lock in diameter and wall thickness to specification.
Quality Testing
In-line and post-production checks verify dimensions against ISO 4427-2:2019.
Cutting & Finishing
Pipe is cut to length or coiled, then marked with production and traceability data.
Packaging & Dispatch
Finished pipe is inspected, packaged and released for delivery to site.
Camera Views
Digital twin, drag to orbit, use the timeline to step through each production stage.
Manufacturing
excellence.
Controlled Extrusion
Temperature-zoned extrusion with continuous monitoring of melt pressure and throughput.
Dimensional Control
Vacuum sizing and haul-off calibration hold diameter and wall thickness to specification.
In-Line Inspection
Continuous monitoring through cooling, cutting and finishing stages.
Batch Traceability
Material and production records maintained from resin batch to finished pipe.

HDPE Pipes for Water, Irrigation & Infrastructure
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe is a thermoplastic piping system formed by extruding PE100 resin into a continuous, fully fused length with no solvent joints along its run. Its key advantages are flexibility, corrosion and chemical resistance, leak-tight fusion joints, abrasion resistance, and a long service life under sustained pressure, which is why it is the standard choice for pressurised water supply, irrigation, drainage and buried infrastructure. PLASMACO manufactures HDPE pipe from 100% virgin PE100 compound across a 20–630 mm documented diameter range, in pressure classes PN10 through PN25, RSB-certified to RS ISO 4427-2:2019/Amd 1:2023.
PPR Pipes for Hot & Cold Water Plumbing
PPR (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) pipe is a rigid, heat-fusion-jointed piping system built for hot and cold water plumbing. Its high temperature resistance, low thermal expansion, smooth non-scaling bore and long service life make it well suited to potable water lines, radiant heating circuits and select industrial fluid-transfer applications. PLASMACO offers PPR pipe alongside its core HDPE range to serve plumbing and building-services projects across Rwanda, contact our team for current sizes, pressure classes and availability.

Raw Material
Pipes are manufactured from 100% virgin PE100 compound, no reprocessed resin, the material basis for ISO 4427-2:2019 conformity.
Tested and verified,
batch by batch.
PLASMACO's quality process is built around raw-material inspection, continuous production-process monitoring, and dimensional verification against the ISO 4427-2:2019 Pipe Dimensions Tables, the same standard underpinning its RSB-certified PN10, PN16, PN20 and PN25 product conformity. Batch and production records are maintained end-to-end, from resin lot to finished, RSB-marked pipe, so any pipe in the field can be traced back to its production data.
- Raw-material inspection on incoming PE100 resin
- Continuous production-process monitoring across all 4 lines
- In-line and post-production dimensional inspection
- Product conformity verified to RS ISO 4427-2:2019/Amd 1:2023
- Batch and production traceability, resin lot to finished pipe
- Final product inspection before release
Pipes manufactured in Rwanda.
Built for Africa.
PLASMACO is part of Rwanda's growing industrial ecosystem, manufacturing HDPE pipes in Kigali and distributing them to serve water, agricultural and infrastructure needs across Rwanda and the wider region.
Engineered for a long, useful life.
Resin
Production begins with verified PE resin, selected for consistency and performance.
Pipe
Resin is engineered into pipe through controlled extrusion and forming.
Infrastructure
Pipes are installed into water, agricultural and civil infrastructure networks.
Service Life
HDPE is valued for its long service life and resistance to corrosion.
Recovery & Recycling
End-of-life material can be recovered, supporting responsible material use.
Manufacturing
with care.
PLASMACO's manufacturing process is certified within an ISO 4427-accredited facility, and every pipe is produced from 100% virgin PE100 compound, material selected for consistency, performance and longevity rather than cost-driven substitution. In keeping with international trends, PLASMACO is a market leader in Rwanda in converting to lead-free materials, reducing the environmental and health footprint of its products.
- Certified production process, manufactured within an ISO 4427-accredited facility, with RSB-certified products.
- Lead-free materials, PLASMACO is a market leader in converting to lead-free formulations, ahead of the broader industry.
- Durable infrastructure, HDPE pipe's long service life and corrosion resistance reduce the frequency of replacement and associated material use over a project's lifetime.
- Responsible resin sourcing, production is built on 100% virgin PE100 compound, avoiding the inconsistency of reprocessed or substandard feedstock.
